Our aim is to create a learning space for activists, educators and local leaders working in environments vulnerable to disinformation from 23 European countries. Each Learning Group will work under the guidance of an experienced trainer who will lead the process, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experiences and best practices among the participants, equip the participants in new insights and skills and help them introduce lessons learned in the international Learning Group into their local context

In this two-part workshop, we will tackle the complex world of gender-based disinformation, its impacts, characteristics and what can be done about it. 

By joining this workshop, you'll gain the knowledge and tools to spot and counter gender-based disinformation in your community and beyond. 
Join a group of teachers, educators, activists, civil society organisations, community leaders, and passionate individuals who care about gender issues and are ready to act against gender-based disinformation.

Who will lead it?
Kata Balint works in the Digital Services Act Enforcement Team at the European Commission. Before joining the Commission, she worked as a digital researcher investigating and combating online harms at Reset, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and Political Capital Policy Research & Consulting Institute. Kata conducted research on mis- and disinformation, malign information operations and manipulation, conspiracy theories, hate speech, online radicalisation and political attitudes and behaviour. In particular, she researched electoral, gender-based and climate disinformation, the algorithmic amplification of harmful and extremist content, foreign influence operations, and targeting of political candidates, minorities, and humanitarian aid workers in conflict areas, to name a few.
