In 2023, WACSI orchestrated a series of impactful interventions, ranging from comprehensive training sessions to strategic forums and coaching sessions, all aimed at fortifying the digital resilience and operational efficacy of CSOs.

Among the myriad of initiatives, two stand out prominently:

1. Hive Mind Community of Practice for Digital Activists

On February 9th and 10th, 2023, WACSI convened a diverse cohort of digital activists from the sub-region to participate in the Hive Mind Community of Practice Workshop. With a gender-balanced participation of 9 males and 6 females, the objective was clear: to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among civil society representatives, paving the way for a self-learning, resilient network in the digital realm.

2. CSR Hub Training on Digital Security & Protection

Throughout the year, WACSI embarked on a comprehensive journey to enhance digital security awareness and skills among CSOs. From Ghana to Nigeria, to Senegal, tailored training sessions equipped participants with the necessary tools to navigate the complex landscape of digital threats. Notably, these sessions collectively saw the participation of 20 males and 9 females, marking a significant stride towards gender parity in digital security education.

As we reflect on WACSI's impactful interventions in 2023, it's evident that the institute remains steadfast to harness the power of technology for the betterment of West African communities, paving the way for a more resilient and empowered digital civic space.

In addition to these flagship endeavours, WACSI's 2023 interventions spanned a wide array of domains.
