Giving Tuesday, 28 November 2023, is coming up.

#GivingTuesday is a global movement to have a day where everything is about giving, doing good and celebrating it. The initiative was created to counteract Black Friday and Cyber Monday in America, to encourage people to look out for each other, the underprivileged and disadvantaged, and to help and bring joy to others through donations during the big shopping season.

NGOs know that the end of the year, November-December, is a particularly strong period for donations. Even people who do not pay attention during the year donate at the end of the year.

If you are an NGO running a fundraising campaign in November or are just starting a fundraising campaign, Giving Tuesday is a good way to kick things off. It's a great day to promote your campaign with extra motivational messages, or to kick it off with one.
