We’d like to warmly invite you to “Building Youth Resilience: What Works, What Doesn't, and How to Make a Difference.” training and community building event scheduled for June 4-6 (Tue-Thu), 2024, in Warsaw, Poland. We want to create space for activists, trainers, and educators who work with youth from all over Europe to get together, learn and share their experience when it comes to topics of Countering Disinformation (CD), and Personal and Organizational Resilience (POR).

We will look at resilience as a permanent element of everyday life of organizations as well as individuals and we will learn how to transform reality with small but meaningful steps. We will tackle the differences and similarities when it comes to building resilience between young people and adults to search for tailored-made answers and solutions.

WHO IS IT FOR?

  • Trainers and educators working in the field of disinformation, resilience but also other areas (especially ones working with youth).

  • Activists, CSO professionals and educators working with youth and young adults as groups especially vulnerable to the negative impact of disinformation and information overload.

  • Activists, CSO professionals and educators wanting to learn more on the topic to resilience to disinformation (not necessarily working with youth but wanting to learn about useful techniques that can also be applicable to other audiences) without previous experience in working in this field).

  • To be eligible for participation, you must reside in one of the EU member states.

WHERE, WHEN AND LOGISTICS:

  • The event will be hosted on June 4-6 in Warsaw, Poland (training will take place on 5-6 June, with arrival date on Jun 4).

  • Detailed agenda will be shared with selected participants by May 15th.

  • All the expenses (travel, accommodation, and meals) related to participation in the event will be covered and arranged by TechSoup.

  • The event will be held in English so good command of it is necessary.

  • Participants will receive certificates upon completion.

  • To be eligible for participation, you must reside in one of the EU member states.

WHO WILL LEAD IT?

Marta Puciłowska-Schielmann: a cultural anthropologist and certified EU interpreter and TechSoup Master Trainer; an experienced practitioner (teacher and trainer), author of materials and programs (national and international) and an expert on wellbeing at school for School with Class Foundation, a co-author of research and reports on wellbeing and mental health in the school environment.

Agnieszka Krawczak-Chmielecka: a lawyer and educational expert, as program director at School with Class Foundation she manages the department dedicated to multiculturalism and wellbeing; experienced trainer in the field of human rights, countering discrimination, intercultural competences and implementing social and public activities, an author of programs, materials, textbooks and guidelines for teachers and educational experts.
