The Training of Trainers consists of a 3-day onsite training to be held in Warsaw (Poland) on March 24-27, 2026 (Group 1) or April 14-17, 2026 (Group 2), and is followed up by two online meetings of the international trainers’ community. As a result of the Training of Trainers, each participant will be able to tailor and deliver AI training relevant to the needs of their local community. The cost of this regional training will be covered by the project fund - up to a maximum of USD 2,000 gross.

The Training of Trainers is intended to connect and support an international network of trainers, civil society organizations’ staff members, educators, and subject matter experts who are interested in accelerating their professional growth and in developing their ability to train, lead, and inspire local communities in applying AI skills and knowledge tailored to their needs and local context.

The areas covered in this project include, but are not limited to: AI literacy and fluency, media literacy education, personal and organizational resilience, digital transformation and inclusion, effective communication, cybersecurity, digital literacy, safeguarding vulnerable communities from online threats and scams, supporting digital wellbeing and health, development of AI solutions supporting climate protection, strengthening crisis response.

The Training of Trainers is your opportunity to:

  • Strengthen your capacity as a trainer in delivering local training on AI tailored to civil society organizations’ staff members, aiming to motivate them to feature AI in their work;

  • Advance your knowledge on how to structure trainings, learn practical methodologies for training delivery and get instructions/ inspiration/ ideas for practical assignments when delivering training on AI;

  • Become part of a vibrant international community of AI educators from Europe, Africa and Middle East collaborating within the TechSoup’s Digital Activism Program;

  • Gain access to the online resource library with a wealth of AI learning materials;

  • Test in practice the newly acquired skills and knowledge by delivering tailored training for your local community and an audience of your choice.

DURATION AND FORMAT

The Training of Trainers will be delivered through a blended learning approach, including offline and online sessions.

The onsite part of the Training of Trainers program will take place in Warsaw, Poland on one of the following dates:

  • Group 1: March 24–27, 2026

  • Group 2: April 14–17, 2026

The 3-day, offline sessions will be followed by two online sessions.

We kindly ask all applicants to keep both dates open until December 15, 2025, when the final selection of training participants and group allocation will be announced.

For the selected 40 participants, TechSoup will cover the following costs:

  • Accommodation: single hotel room for 3 nights,

  • Round-trip to Warsaw, Poland,

  • All meals within the onsite training dates.

EXPECTED COMITTMENT

Interested trainers and educators willing to take part in the Training of Trainers will be required to:

  • attend the whole, 3-day onsite training in Warsaw,

  • commit to fill out the pre- and post- training assessment,

  • localize the training curriculum to their specific regional audience and deliver 1 local training to minimum 15 nonprofit professionals from minimum 10 civil society organizations in their country (the costs of the regional training expenses, including the trainers’ fees, will be covered by TechSoup up to the amount of USD 2,000 gross).

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for individuals who:

  1. 1. Are currently residing in one of the 10 designated countries from the EMEA region (France, Ghana, Italy, Kenya, Nigeria, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, or the United Kingdom).

  1. 2. Are interested in their professional development as trainers, civil society organization staff members, educators, subject matter experts focusing on AI.

    3. Are interested in developing their ability to train, lead, and inspire local communities to use AI in their daily work.

  1. 4. Possess some experience in using AI tools and feel confident about training nonprofits in their application.

  2. 5. Possess prior experience in delivering training activities for civil society organizations (nonprofits and activists included).

  1. 6. Have an affiliation with at least one civil society organization based in one of the above-mentioned, designated project countries from the EMEA region.

7. Are acting as, or willing to become, active multipliers of skills on a grass root level with an opportunity to be engaged in delivering local activities targeting nonprofit professionals.

8. Feel comfortable actively participating in training sessions run in English.

  1. 9. Commit to localize training curriculum to their specific audience and deliver minimum 1 local training to minimum 15 nonprofit professionals from minimum 10 civil society organizations.

    1. 10. Are at least 18 years old at the start of the recruitment period (October 2, 2025).

APPLICATION PROCESS AND DEADLINE

We ask all interested professionals to fill out the application form by November 30, 2025. We will notify you of the selection results no later than December 15, 2025.

NEXT STEPS

  • Selected trainers will receive detailed information about their participation and logistics.

  • TechSoup will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the trainers selected for the Training of Trainers program, outlining the terms of collaboration in the AI for Social Change project.

  • After participating in the Training of Trainers program, TechSoup shall conclude a separate agreement with each of the participants regarding the delivery of the local workshop and financial support from TechSoup (up to 2,000 USD gross).

  • The participants are advised to insure themselves, at their own expense, against personal accidents and civil liability as well as medical treatment costs and insure all the valuables they have with them, for the entire period of the project delivery.
