This module is intended to grow and support the European network of trainers/Civil Society Organizations’ (CSO) workers/educators/subject matter experts on media literacy so they can carry out countering disinformation and digital activism activities in their respective countries.

In particular, the Training of Trainers is meant to support professionals in the field in developing their ability to train, lead, and inspire local communities with the goal of improving media literacy and resilience to disinformation. The opportunity is designed as a part of TechSoup Network’s Digital Activism Program curricula, and tailored to those already experienced in working in a similar capacity.

We strongly encourage professionals with relevant experience, and interested in ToT to apply HERE by March 12, 2023.

THIS TOT IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY:

  • To strengthen your trainer's capacity in delivering local trainings on countering disinformation and building positive narratives;

  • To advance your knowledge on how to structure trainings, learn practical methodologies for training delivery and get instructions for practical assignments when delivering trainings on the subjects;

  • To become part of the international community of educators in the field from Europe collaborating within the TechSoup Digital Activism Program;

  • To motivate the citizens from the local communities to implement actions focused on media literacy and building resilience to disinformation.

DURATION AND FORMAT

The whole training module will be held throughout 2 days (12 hours long) as an onsite event in Warsaw.

For selected 25 participants TechSoup Europe will cover:

  • Accommodation: single hotel room for 2 nights

  • Round-trip travel

  • Meals

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Interested educators will be required to commit to take part in pre-training assessment, all training activities throughout 2 days and post-event evaluation.

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Residing in one of the EU member states;

  • Comfortable going through training in English;

  • Trainers/CSO workers/educators/subject matter experts with a previous experience of training delivery in media literacy (preferably in subjects Countering Disinformation and Building Positive Narratives);

  • Acting as or willing to become an active multiplier of skills on grassroot levels.

APPLICATION PROCESS AND DEADLINE

We ask all interested professionals to fill out the application form by March 12, 2023.

We will notify you of the selection results no later than March 17, 2023.

Selected trainers would receive detailed information about their participation and logistics-related matters.
